Jacob Presson is a New York-based actor, writer and teaching artist.

He grew up in Wilton, Connecticut, where from a young age he was constantly reminded that his hand-eye coordination was rough and that he shouldn’t play on any sports teams.

Most notably, Jacob has appeared in Fuck Marry Kill (New Ohio Theatre/Less Than Rent); Our Town (Green-Wood Cemetery, Theatre Under the Moonlight); Much Ado About Nothing (Shakespeare on the Sound); and Tailspin! (NYC Fringe). Various developmental workshops and readings include Playwrights Horizons, Gingold Theatrical Group, Youngblood/EST, The Bridge Production Group, INKubator New Play Festival and The Pantry Reading Lab.

As a playwright, his critically acclaimed play, Very Bad Words, was presented at the NYC Fringe Festival of 2013 and, subsequently, with The Semicolon Theatre Company. His work has been workshopped and developed with BZ genesis WORKS at Playwrights Horizons, The Pantry Reading Lab and Wide Eyed Productions.

Jacob is a proud company member of Less Than Rent Theatre and a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College. He is currently working towards his MFA in Acting at The New School for Drama!
