Jacob Presson is a New York-based actor and writer.

Jacob grew up in Wilton, Connecticut, where he realized he was terrible at sports, converted to theatre, and never looked back.

Most notably, Jacob has appeared in F*ck Marry Kill (New Ohio Theatre/Less Than Rent); Our Town (Green-Wood Cemetery, Theatre Under the Moonlight); Much Ado About Nothing (Shakespeare on the Sound); and Tailspin! (NYC Fringe). As a playwright, his critically acclaimed play, Very Bad Words, was presented to sold out audiences at the NYC Fringe Festival of 2013 and, subsequently, with The Semicolon Theatre Company, NYC. Various developmental workshops and readings include BZ genesis WORKS at Playwrights Horizons, The Pantry Reading Lab and Wide Eyed Productions Seven Deadly Winks Reading Series at The Drama League.

Jacob is a proud company member of Less Than Rent Theatre, of which his brother, James Presson, is co-artistic director. A graduate of Marymount Manhattan College, Jacob holds certificates from The British American Drama Academy (BADA), in Oxford, and New York Stage and Film/Powerhouse Theatre, at Vassar College.
